RALC Board members Barbara Berthold, Monica Heid, Janie Jaquier and Jean Stuart (along with Executive Director Mimi Tanner) attended the Texas Literacy conference in Austin. They are standing by  a scroll, a Declaration of the Right to Literacy, signed by literacy advocates from all over the United States.

The Honorable Carol Kent (right), State Representative, District 102, presented a certificate of achievement to Mimi Tanner, RALC Executive Director and Barbara Berthold, President of the RALC Board of Directors. Representative Kent nominated the RALC for the North Texas Future Fund 2010 Bridge Awards for Literacy Advocacy. The RALC won an award for Community Advocacy.

The Murder Mystery fundraiser, Murder of an Off-Key Idol, featured community leaders (from right) Dennis Kratz, Laura Maczka and Chief Jim Spivey. Characters from the Murder Mystery Players complete the picture. Chuck Eisemann also participated in the event.

Actress Michelle Williams and Karen Ellis, singer and community leader, played Neighborhood Idol hopefuls in the play at the Richardson Public Library.
